1st Round of SXSW 2009 Confirmed Bands Released!! Yay! January 9, 2009

I’ll be honest, I don’t know the majority of them, but that’s good because I’ll be introduced to a lot of new music.  Always a good thing.  Really excited for Peter, Bjorn & John, Akron/Family, Explosions in the Sky, Crystal Stilts, Kid Sister, LA Riots, Port O’Brien, St. Vincent, and Primal Scream.  A few weeks ago, Passion Pit, Beach House, Friendly Fires and Ra Ra Riot were confirmed, but not sure about that anymore.  Bummer.  Here’s the full list.   And Ra Ra Riot‘s “Ghost Under Rocks:
